Wouldn’t this one look adorable?
It was over two years, July of 2010 to be exact, where I headed out to Hilton Head to photograph an extended family as they all vacationed together at Palmetto Dunes. Renee from Atlanta had contacted me, and while we had a pretty HOT day (it is July in the south after all), it was a great session. As a matter of fact, I got the money shot of 18 people (with 7 of them being kids!) without having to do a single headswap.
Yes, I am tooting my own horn.
So imagine my surprise when I get an email from Renee a couple months ago looking for a photographer for family portraits. She Googled photographers in Illinois and I show up. She thought my name sounded familiar, and when she looked at my portfolio, what does she see, but her own family from Hilton Head! She moved to the Gurnee area not too long after their Hilton Head vacation, and as you all know, I am back in the Chicago area.
There is no greater compliment to a photographer than a repeat client. It warms my heart and makes me humble beyond words.
Meeting up with just the 5 members of the L family did make things a bit easier, not to mention each and every one of them did their modeling best on a chilly day.
To say they were some of my most well behaved clients would be an understatement, they made my job easy!
So here are the updated portraits of the L Family!

What a beautiful family! The last image is beyond gorgeous. I hope that it is blown up on a giant canvas for their home!
