Shhhhh….I know it is Wednesday…but man was my computer running slow last night!
Here is Annika enjoying the new sprinkler system we have.

This little darling needed her one year portraits taken…we were just a couple months behind schedule :) But it worked out perfectly, as she was just toddling around as all kids do at this age. It was that typical session where we all worry there won’t be enough smiles captured because she just wouldn’t slow down for anything. But like how all sessions end I take a look at what we captured and I just melt. This girl has a smile to die for, and those curls are just too cute! She even wore a beautiful pink dress given to her by family in Puerto Rico. If you are wondering what to dress your toddler in, this is perfect!
Here is a sneak peek, hope you enjoy!

Adorable child and great captures! I love her little dress, too!
What a sweet smile and love those curls. Great captures of this special time!
In the pink dress, is a heart stopper! Too cute for words!
Adorable and beautiful! not just because I’m one of the proud grandma’s

Wow!!! She is beautiful. I love the second one – Great work Britt!!!
Oh my, what a doll! These are fabulous images!
She’s a cutie for sure! You did a great job slowing her down enough to get some great smiles. Both her dresses are adorable!
She is so beautiful. That smile says it all.
It is because of my daughter that I started expressing my artistic side with photographs.
So I get out my big fancy camera…I put on my awesome sharp lens…I adjust my settings for that perfect exposure….I press that button….I hit delete.
I hit that button again…I hit delete.
I hit that button again…I hit delete.
Why you ask? Because they aren’t perfect. Maybe an eye is closed….maybe she looked away at just the wrong moment….maybe her hair is covering her eyes.
Then I slap myself (not even kidding here). “What are you thinking? This is your daughter…the one that is growing WAY to fast. Stop worrying about all those important photography “rules” (ps, there are no rules) and just capture the moment.”
This is why snapshots are so important…..for everyone from the mom with a point and shoot camera to the professional who pulls in six figures.
So I bring you Snapshot Tuesday! Here are some snapshots from the week….could be of my daughter, my husband, even the town I live in. But they are snapshots that mean the world to me. :)
This series is from a cupcake that Annika ate last week. We had gone to a July Birthday Party that was held for all the July birthdays in the local Moms Group. Annika was more interested in the park, so we saved her cupcake for home.

Great Idea!! I totally agree!
Thank you for the reminder! I am so bad about that! What a cutie!
I agree what a great idea this is! Pro’s take snapshots too…this is what I remind people all the time. lol.
What a great post & a great reminder to us all! Some of the everyday moments are the best ones! Your daughter is a DOLL!!!
Lovely post Britt and gorgeous snapshots!
She is so cute, eating her cupcake. I agree, snap shots are important, and I love your snap shot Tuesday idea.
Great idea. This is so true!! I think as time goes by, snapshots are the MOST treasured photographs simply because of the emotion and memories they capture — of everyday life, real living, and our connections.
Love it! I am a cupcake fanatic and think cupcake eating shots are classic!
I think this is a fantastic idea!
Thanks for reminding me that I don’t have to get technically perfect pictures all the time. Sometime the ones that are not perfect are the best ones! Love these!
Thanks for the reminder..your totally correct!!!
Well said..LOVE the outcome! This is totally me! LOL
So cute, I love the idea of a “cupcake” day…she is a doll!
Thanks, Britt. Now I want a cupcake and it’s 7:20am. You are so right though. We do need to take off the photographer hat we wear and just enjoy the snaps we get of our children! these are fun! Now, about that cupcake…
Britt the girl is so beautiful and grown up that I can not imagine here in real life :P
even my almost 4 year old son was saying, mommy what a beautiful little girl lol
Love it!
What a busy week I have had. My parents are down visiting from IL, and of course they have to be welcomed with crazy storms. Par for the course down here I tell them…around 5pm you can see the skies darkening, usual occurrence. Well, this one didn’t drop any rain on us, but it sure gave us a lightning storm!
I am excited to get some senior shots up soon…keep popping back, I am LOVING the backdrops Savannah provides, particularly for seniors!
All I have to say, thank goodness I am not getting paid to take lightning photographs….otherwise I would have to take in my shingle, because it is very difficult!

Yikes!! I can almost hear the CRACK!!! Summer in Savannah
That is awesome! I love it!!! You are good!!!
Wow, that is some lightening! I think you did great capturing it! I can almost hear it from here!
congrats!! looks great!
wow! that is amazing! I can’t believe you captured that…I would have been hiding inside:)
wow these are amazing!
Wow! I think these are beautiful, Britt!
Ca-RACK!! Pretty cool. I’ve never tried photographing lighting… and it’s a good thing I didn’t decide to tackle it this year because we’ve had two (count ‘em, TWO!) thunderstorms all spring/summer!! So unusual for Wisconsin…
very cool..I love a good T-storm so long as I am indoors lol
These are awesome and kinda scary! Very cool that you captured the lightning, I’ve tried before and never succeeded. Great job!
Very cool, can’t tell you how many hours I waited to capture lighting, its so hard, great job on these.
wow! goodness!
As you may have been noticing, there have been changes happening at Britt Anderson Photography. With the move to Savannah, I needed a change. I wanted a look that reflected my simple approach to photography. The beaches at Tybee and Hilton Head have been favorite places to go since we came here, so I wanted a look that reflected the beach. So here it is, the new Britt Anderson Photography.
For my clients in Savannah, this isn’t new to you :) But I hope you see this site and get a feel for my vision. I hope you see a photographer that wants to capture the spirit that is your child, your family, your being.
Everything will be done through this one site…you will see sneak peeks…you will see your session in its own password protected gallery…you will be able to purchase all of your portraits and boutique items directly through the site.
With the move comes opportunities for specials! With the move I would like to welcome new clients to enjoy 40% off their session fee, and 20% off gift and wall prints. Please call me at 912.966.0498 or email me at contact@brittandersonphotography.com to schedule a session.
