As we start off a new year and the excitement of he holidays die down, I get a chance to take a breather and look ahead.
What will the new year bring for Britt Anderson Photography?

One of my favorite things to do is look through all of my client images to see what I will be adding to my website portfolio. It is always so hard to choose, because with every session you can hear me say, “oh, I love that one!”…”oh wait, no I love THAT one!” But it also gives me a chance to relive those moments with clients, making each one unique and fun.

So that is what you will start seeing in the next couple weeks. New photographs in my portfolio.

You will also start seeing new product guides. This will be a true labor of love. My goal for 2011 is to get more portraits up on client’s walls. Many times it is hard to imagine a large print on your wall. Heck, before I became a photographer big was an 8×10. But I plan on showing you why your family should be filling up your walls and I will be showing you how to do it. With this in mind, I have also restructured my pricing to allow for fantastic savings on wall galleries.

And, because I have a hard time posting without including a picture, here you go.

Do you know where you can find the crying Marilyn?

Ahhhh…another year under our belts! We’ve laughed….we’ve cried….oh, who am I kidding, this year has been fantastic!

I have far surpassed my goals for Britt Anderson Photography this year. I have built a solid client base, and continue to meet great new people. My goal of building my senior and engagement portfolio has been exciting. I have continued to photograph some of THE most adorable children and families in the Savannah and Hilton Head area. I hope to meet more new mommies and daddies next year as I photograph their growing bellies and their precious little newborns.

I am thankful for all of my clients who trust me to capture those fleeting moments in their lives. I am thankful they come back again and again. I am thankful for my clients who spread the word about me. This is what I build my business on…..and I thank you.

I look forward to meeting new faces next year, as I continue to service my current clients with the high quality services and products you expect. I look forward to some incredible new offerings next year. You will see new products and a great new addition of wall galleries. Wall galleries are PERFECT for those of you who say, I don’t know what to do with these pictures after I get them! Your portraits shouldn’t be left sitting on a hard drive. Your portraits shouldn’t be left as a 4×6 in a drawer. Your portraits should be the art that adorns your walls. Your portraits should be what everyone ooh’s and ahh’s over when they walk in your home. I am going to work harder to make that happen for you.

So here is to a great new year! I hope I get the chance to work with you soon.

Britt

This session was scheduled for Saturday night on October 3oth. However drama central derailed that plan when Savannah decided to suggest that Trick O’ Treating be held that night instead of Sunday night. So instead of working around Trick O’ Treating, we decided to push the session earlier in the day at Forsyth Park. It was a gorgeous day in Savannah and we took full advantage! Miss G has some spunk, and I loved it! Being 3 years old, it comes with the territory. As the Mom of a 4 year old, I was prepared!

I could have hung out with the A family all night photographing them. Miss S couldn’t have been sweeter….and like most babes her age, she gave me all sorts of smiles….until the camera went to my face. :sigh: I had to pull a few tricks out of my hat to get those smiles that were so adorable! But smiles we got!

Here is a quick sneak peek from tonight’s session….enjoy!

This family has it. They were meant to be in front of the camera!

It is a great feeling as a photographer to go through and see gorgeous smile after gorgeous smile looking back at me! They just couldn’t take a bad picture!

I usually like using my longer lenses with toddlers because they can be a bit leery being in front of the camera of a stranger. So it allows me to sit back further, capture those smiles without being right on top of them. Not Miss K. She wanted to be right next to me the whole time. So out came the close up lens.
