As a former teacher (well, I take that back, aren’t we always a teacher? Once a teacher, always a teacher…I just don’t get paid for it anymore…anyway) I have all that inside knowledge for how to get a child to read, I did everything right as my daughter grew up, read to her every day, exposed her to lots of literature, etc.

But I have a feeling this new mom will go above and beyond every single day with her little girl!
She is a teacher as well, a reading teacher to be exact!

She has the most adorable Eric Carle themed room.

most significant risk factors are being a woman and getting older
breast cancer knows no boundaries
breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death of women between the ages of 40-59 in the united states
a woman is diagnosed every 3 minutes in the united states

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

the five year survival rate when caught early has risen from 74 percent in 1982 to 98 percent in 2010
there are approximately 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the united states today

Things are getting better….but they need to be even better.

As much as I would LOVE to photograph every family and capture every moment with them at every point in the year, I simply can’t. But what I provide are the portraits, those yearly or twice yearly events in your life.

The Age Old Question | What To Wear

This is probably my number one question I am often asked.
What should my family wear?

I find this a tough question to answer, as I have my own personal ideas on what looks good.

I am a casual kind of gal, jeans and t-shirts for sure. My style of photography will get you on the ground, playing with your kids, spinning your significant other around in a twirl. Nothing stuffy to see here.

These images are not only to capture you at your best, but to capture you as you.

If formal is the way you want to go, I would be happy to help you find a photographer to best meet your needs.

Family portraits are an investment, you want to find the photographer that will give you exactly what you want. If my style fits the bill, I look forward to working with you!

A Quick Entry into the World! | Newborn Photographer

Miss S is a neighbor of ours. Her older brother, Mr C is a good friend of Annika’s.

Actually, he says they luvvvvv each other!

Miss S had a QUICK entry into this world…with the midwife on her way, Miss S decided she didn’t want to wait. So Daddy had the honors of delivering this sweet princess all by himself!

Ok, I know…Momma did a lot of the work too.

I thought I was brave doing it without pain meds!

Here is Miss S, in all her sweet baby glory. Mr C is a very doting big brother, so sweet!
