I wish I could back in time and look this adorable when I was pregnant! We didn’t even have such cute maternity clothes just 5 short years ago when I was having a baby. Oh well, at least I get to meet mama’s to be like this one.

We enjoyed our session in the gorgeous Bamboo Farm & Coastal Gardens setting. I can’t wait to meet their little man in just a few short days!

Couple housekeeping items….

and…..since it is so hard not to post without an image…here is my little one, who is getting not so little.

One of my favorite things to do is look through all of my client images to see what I will be adding to my website portfolio. It is always so hard to choose, because with every session you can hear me say, “oh, I love that one!”…”oh wait, no I love THAT one!” But it also gives me a chance to relive those moments with clients, making each one unique and fun.

So that is what you will start seeing in the next couple weeks. New photographs in my portfolio.

You will also start seeing new product guides. This will be a true labor of love. My goal for 2011 is to get more portraits up on client’s walls. Many times it is hard to imagine a large print on your wall. Heck, before I became a photographer big was an 8×10. But I plan on showing you why your family should be filling up your walls and I will be showing you how to do it. With this in mind, I have also restructured my pricing to allow for fantastic savings on wall galleries.

And, because I have a hard time posting without including a picture, here you go.

We’ve laughed….we’ve cried….oh, who am I kidding, this year has been fantastic!

I have far surpassed my goals for Britt Anderson Photography this year. I have built a solid client base, and continue to meet great new people. My goal of building my senior and engagement portfolio has been exciting. I have continued to photograph some of THE most adorable children and families in the Savannah and Hilton Head area. I hope to meet more new mommies and daddies next year as I photograph their growing bellies and their precious little newborns.

I am thankful for all of my clients who trust me to capture those fleeting moments in their lives. I am thankful they come back again and again. I am thankful for my clients who spread the word about me. This is what I build my business on…..and I thank you.

I look forward to meeting new faces next year, as I continue to service my current clients with the high quality services and products you expect. I look forward to some incredible new offerings next year. You will see new products and a great new addition of wall galleries. Wall galleries are PERFECT for those of you who say, I don’t know what to do with these pictures after I get them! Your portraits shouldn’t be left sitting on a hard drive. Your portraits shouldn’t be left as a 4×6 in a drawer. Your portraits should be the art that adorns your walls. Your portraits should be what everyone ooh’s and ahh’s over when they walk in your home. I am going to work harder to make that happen for you.

For some reason, consignment sales have eluded the north, because when I lived in Chicago, I don’t recall these types of sales. Moving to Savannah however, I have seen many of these types of sales in the area. I was very luck to hook up with the Coastal Kids Market this year. Not only am I am able to meet with other moms in the area and show them what I LOVE to do, I have become witness to something truly remarkable….the consignment sale opening night.

This first night was for volunteers, consignees, and advertisers. The line started to grow around 5:15….it opened at 6. Women brought boxes of band-aids to help support The Next Generation, but also to get a 15 minute head start to shopping! While I am sure they appreciated the head start, the the Children’s Medical Center at Memorial Hospital will benefit even more thanks to all of the donations.

Moms made their way QUICKLY to the area of the store where they could find their children’s size. It was a mad dash I tell ya! Clothes were flying off the rack with great speed. As arms were becoming overloaded, baskets getting full, they found their way to quiet spots in the store to really start their work. Here they would sort through the clothes to actually decide if that they indeed wanted to purchase that item.

It was something I wasn’t quite prepared for! However, I hear tonight will be the big test. Tonight the Coastal Kids Market Consignment Show will open to the general public, again at 6. I suggest stopping by the local drug store and get some character band aids to get your 15 minute head start….you’re gonna need it!
