A child who is normally all smiles, comes to the photo session giving me the stare down.

Ok, maybe he was looking at me like I was crazy while I was making all sorts of monkey noises to get his attention.
Nah, that couldn’t be it….

This little guy came out to Forsyth Park with Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa.
He was stylin, and yes, I eventually got my smiles.

I can’t believe it has been over 18 months since I started photographing this gorgeous little one and her parents. She had those hints of red when she was a newborn, but look at those red curls now!

I hooked up with the A Family and while I was in town in Savannah for some holiday portraits.
It was a crazy week, filled with chances of rain. I had managed to avoid the rain for most of my sessions, but right before their session, the skies just emptied on Savannah. As I was huddled in the River Street Marketplace to stay dry, this family was headed in from Statesboro. We lucked out, as they arrived the rain ended and we had some clear skies to shoot under.

I bet if you ask most photographers, most would say they much prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front of it.
When my fellow photographer DeAnn contacted me to take portraits of her gorgeous family while they were in town on vacation, I was excited to see her looking to get portraits of her family, including her! We don’t often show up in pictures since we are usually the ones taking them.

DeAnn and her family were vacationing in Hilton Head, but they wanted the urban feel Savannah’s Riverfront provided as their backdrop. Who can blame her? But alas, you will have to wait and see those!!! Those are DeAnn’s images for her Holiday Cards.
I know, I am such a tease!

But I can show you some fun ones we took under the great oaks and Spanish moss that is quintessential Savannah!

I think I have photographed this family more than any other! Too bad Mr. C only seems to recognize me when there is a large black thing attached to my face….and yes, I mean a camera, no there isn’t anything growing there.

You can see their maternity session, newborn session, 4 month session, 8 month session, and one year session….now we have an 18 month session!

Mr. C was a rock collector on this outing. We usually stick close to home, but this time we ventured on to Factor’s Walk in downtown Savannah. Anyone who has walked back there knows there are rocks a plenty!

We had a great time, even if we didn’t get a glimpse of J-Lo, who was in town filming American Idol….mom was most upset. ;)

I have met Mr. M before….and he was never this serious. As a matter of fact, he was one of the smiliest newborns I had every photographed! So It was quite a surprise to see him for his 4 month session in Savannah with the most serious look planted square on that mug of his!

This time it was just mom and grandma, dad is a Ranger and couldn’t be in town for this session…but we will get new family portraits in October when I make my way back to Savannah. Mom was just as beautiful as she was when I photographed her maternity session.
