We are lucky here in the Lake County, North Shore areas to have a great mixture of environments and locations to photograph at…..so the question you have to ask yourself is…

Are you a Little Bit Country? Or a Little Bit Rock-n-Roll?

Which do you prefer?
An edgy urban session, or a more relaxed country session?

Considering Lake County has one of the most expansive forest preserve systems in Illinois, there are so many natural resources in our own backyards! With rolling hills, tall trees, lush grasses, we have everything we need to create that dreamy, relaxed portrait.

What we also have available to us, are so many quaint small towns, with fantastic buildings and back alleys to give us an edgy urban session….not to mention we are located right between two great big cities, Chicago and Milwaukee!
I have photographed in downtown Antioch, Libertyville, and Lake Forest….and would love to come to your town too!

Updates and Excitement

As we start off a new year and the excitement of he holidays die down, I get a chance to take a breather and look ahead.
What will the new year bring for Britt Anderson Photography?

One of my favorite things to do is look through all of my client images to see what I will be adding to my website portfolio. It is always so hard to choose, because with every session you can hear me say, “oh, I love that one!”…”oh wait, no I love THAT one!” But it also gives me a chance to relive those moments with clients, making each one unique and fun.

So that is what you will start seeing in the next couple weeks. New photographs in my portfolio.

You will also start seeing new product guides. This will be a true labor of love. My goal for 2011 is to get more portraits up on client’s walls. Many times it is hard to imagine a large print on your wall. Heck, before I became a photographer big was an 8×10. But I plan on showing you why your family should be filling up your walls and I will be showing you how to do it. With this in mind, I have also restructured my pricing to allow for fantastic savings on wall galleries.

And, because I have a hard time posting without including a picture, here you go.

From Vacation to Celebration | Engagement Photographer

When Ryane first contacted me regarding portraits for her and her boyfriend Jason, it was just to capture some photographs of the two of them together. They were visiting Savannah from Florida, and wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous backdrop that is Savannah (I say that a lot don’t I?)

Well, after settling on dates, this vacation to Savannah turned to a celebration as Ryane and Jason were now engaged! So now our couple session turned to an engagement session. Either way, it was obvious as soon as I met them love was in the air.

It was a perfect day to stroll all around town, stopping here and there to capture those special moments you will find between two people in love. It took very little direction to get these gorgeous moments between these two….as a matter of fact, I often had to tell them they could stop kissing now and move on to the next spot…hehe.

See Ya 2010, Here’s to 2011!!!

Ahhhh…another year under our belts! We’ve laughed….we’ve cried….oh, who am I kidding, this year has been fantastic!

I have far surpassed my goals for Britt Anderson Photography this year. I have built a solid client base, and continue to meet great new people. My goal of building my senior and engagement portfolio has been exciting. I have continued to photograph some of THE most adorable children and families in the Savannah and Hilton Head area. I hope to meet more new mommies and daddies next year as I photograph their growing bellies and their precious little newborns.

I am thankful for all of my clients who trust me to capture those fleeting moments in their lives. I am thankful they come back again and again. I am thankful for my clients who spread the word about me. This is what I build my business on…..and I thank you.

I look forward to meeting new faces next year, as I continue to service my current clients with the high quality services and products you expect. I look forward to some incredible new offerings next year. You will see new products and a great new addition of wall galleries. Wall galleries are PERFECT for those of you who say, I don’t know what to do with these pictures after I get them! Your portraits shouldn’t be left sitting on a hard drive. Your portraits shouldn’t be left as a 4×6 in a drawer. Your portraits should be the art that adorns your walls. Your portraits should be what everyone ooh’s and ahh’s over when they walk in your home. I am going to work harder to make that happen for you.

So here is to a great new year! I hope I get the chance to work with you soon.
