Sessions should be fast-paced and fun. I call it controlled chaos. I will balance the carefully orchestrated posed shot (that looks great on the wall) with the natural interaction shots (that look great in an album).
Once your session is booked, we’ll discuss location, clothing, and the overall feel of the session. I want you to come with any ideas you may have, and I will do my best to bring them to life. I will send you a link to pay your creative fee. These are due within seven days of booking.
I will start the session spending the first 10 minutes or so getting to know you and your child(ren). I want to create that initial comfort level that will allow the camera to just magically capture those moments. When you see the camera go to my eye, don’t stop and pose. I will let you know if I need you to move this way or that. Keep your interactions going.
Many times, when I am photographing your child(ren), I will suggest you quietly wander off somewhere. Still in sight, but in a position that allows me to interact with your child(ren) on a more one-on-one level. This often allows the “cheese” smiles to go away and get the more natural grin you know and love.
After the session, I will go home and probably nap. Then I will take a look at what I got for the day and choose the very best of the best to edit and show you 20-30 images in your online, password protected gallery. I will email you within two weeks with your password. You are free to share your link with friends and family, and they are welcome to order prints as well.
After your order is placed and payment has been received, I will get your products ordered and delivered to you. You can expect to receive your prints in about 2 weeks, although some products may require more time. I will let you know if this will be the case.
Once you receive your images, go ahead and share them with the world. Hopefully you will be singing my praises. If not, please let me know. I want to make you thrilled that you chose me as your photographer.
